Final trailer for ‘The Punisher’ arrives with a vengeance
Netflix’s The Punisher series is one of the most anticipated debuts of this year, and following Jon Bernthal’s acclaimed performance as Frank Castle in Daredevil, fans and audiences are very excited for what awaits in the new series.
The final trailer has been released and with it the long-awaited premiere date for the series. Check it out below:
Following the events in Hells Kitchen, Frank Castle, the man now known as The Punisher, retreats into the shadows. His new mission is to expose the corrupt governmental institution that resulted in the deaths of his wife and children and to punish those responsible with extreme prejudice.
The new trailer is simply outstanding. Set again to another rift of Metallica’s ‘One’, the new trailer delves deeper into the narrative of the upcoming series and the torn status of Frank Castle as a man.
While it is undeniable that Bernthal makes for a lethal vigilante and has proved himself to be both proficient with the vast arsenal of The Punisher, it’s the undeniable sense of pain and loss that really sets his performance apart. Bernthal’s ability to portray a man so beset by pain that it drives him to extreme action is a testament to his talents and abilities as a performer and will ground the show with a real sense of depth and realism.
It doesn’t get more exciting than The Punisher and we can’t wait to devour it when it is released on Netflix on November 17.
