Margot Robbie takes to the ice in first teaser for ‘I, Tonya’

Margot Robbie is one actress who is definitely on a role, not only is she starring in the upcoming release of Becoming Christopher Robin but her first passion project, I, Tonya, has just released its first teaser.

Here’s the synopsis:

Beginning in the early 1980s, I, Tonya, chronicles the rise of American figure skater Tonya Harding, who’s pretty exterior masked a determined and crazed competitive drive. With a narcissistic obsession to win, all of this would lead Harding and her husband Jeff Gilooly (Sebastian Stan) to orchestrate an attack on Harding’s teammate and competition Nancy Kerrigan (Caitlin Carver) at the National Figure Skating Championship in 1994 in an event that shocked the sporting world.

While Robbie might be all smiles and grace on the ice, the teaser’s narration teases out her crazed competition to win as Harding. While we only get a glimpse of the film, Robbie is in perfect form as Harding and with Sebastian Stan in support you know this is going to be good.

I, Tonya has been a passion project for Robbie for some time now, and in addition to headlining the film, Robbie is also on board as a producer.

I, Tonya will be released on December 8 in the US, and on February 15, 2018 in New Zealand and Australia.
