There’s plenty of cause to celebrate thanks to the upcoming release of David Ayer’s Bright, which will find the cult director taking to Netflix to present a very different tale of good and evil.
A new trailer has just been released and it is absolutely stunning. Check it out below:
Here’s the synopsis:
Set in a world of human, elves and orcs, the film follows LAPD Officer Daryl Ward (Will Smith) who is partnered with new recruit, and the first ever Orc police officer, Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton). Together the two come upon the discovery of a magic wand that could very well reshape the entire makeup of the earth and the creatures who rule it.
The new trailer is packed out with terrific footage and teases Ayer’s unique smash-up of South Central L.A. gang culture and the film’s high fantasy with a modern twist sensibility. Will Smith looks pretty fly as LAPD Officer Daryl Ward, while Edgerton’s orc cop Nick Jakoby is trying really hard to fit in. But if Bright has a scene stealer then it’s definitely going to be Noomi Rapace’s Leilah, an elf witch who has grand plans for the film’s coveted magic wand and who will unleash all kinds of chaos in order to possess it.
Bright could very well end up being one of the most exciting film’s released this year and Netflix fans will be in for an awesome time when it is released on December 22.
