Dwayne Johnson might be Hollywood’s reigning king, but in his latest movie, Rampage, he’s about to take on one very big threat to the world.
Check out the new trailer below:
Here’s the synopsis:
Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson) is a man more comfortable around animals than people, and that’s especially true for his charge and closest friend George, an extraordinarily intelligent, albino silverback gorilla. But when George is subject to a highly dangerous form of gene therapy that rapidly changes his physical structure, Davis finds his best friend taken from him. Learning that the same thing has happened to both a wolf and a crocodile with dangerous results, Davis and scientist Dr Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) set out to save George before it’s too late.
Rampage looks like a great deal of fun and finds Johnson re-teaming with San Andreas collaborator Brad Peyton for this unique mix-up of science fiction and disaster flick.
The film’s subject matter also comes with an interesting ecological message and while the trailer is packed out with city levelling action, fans can also expect a strong and important conservation message as well.
Rampage will be released in cinemas next year on April 12, 2018.
