Ridley Scott promises an intense ride in new trailer for ‘All the Money in the World’
Sir Ridley Scott has been busy as of late as he puts the finishing touches on his upcoming thriller All the Money in the World.
A brand new trailer has just been released and it gives us our first look at Christopher Plummer as billionaire J. Paul Getty.
Check it out below:
Here’s the synopsis:
In 1973, John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) was kidnapped by a group of Italian Mafiaso who demanded $17 million dollars for his release. However, his grandfather, J. Paul Getty (Christopher Plummer), an oil tycoon with an estimated fortune of over a billion dollars refused to co-operate with the kidnappers and ignored their ransom demands, all of which made an incredibly tense situation far, far worse.
The new trailer is a particularly intense watch, and Scott has really amped up the film’s thrills which come hard and fast. Along with giving us our first look at Plummer, who has taken over the role of J. Paul Getty from Kevin Spacey, following the actors falling out in Hollywood, the trailer also exposes more of the film’s lavish setting and the power and majesty that J. Paul Getty commanded.
The trailer also gives audiences a greater insight into the characters of Michelle William’s Gail Harris, the mother of kidnapping victim John Paul Getty III and Mark Wahlberg’s Fletcher Chase, a former clandestine CIA operative who now works as Getty’s head of security. Plummer himself has a sizeable appearance in the new trailer and it looks like he’s well matched for the film’s mind games and verbal sparring, particularly in the scenes that occur between Getty and Chase.
