While Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) might have been the lord of the 100 Acre Wood as a boy, like all children he eventually had to grow up. But adult life seems to have gotten in the way and he appears to have lost all of his vast sense of wonder, imagination and joy. It’s pretty good then that an old friend is going to help him find it in this new take on Winnie the Pooh in Christopher Robin.
The new trailer has just been released and it appears to be utterly marvellous. Check it out below:
Here’s the synopsis:
Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), the little boy from the Winnie-the-Pooh stories, is now all grown up and has lost all sense of imagination. Finding it difficult to connect with his loving wife Evelyn (Hayley Atwell), Christopher’s best friend Pooh and his friends re-enter Christopher’s life to help him find it again.
Although we only get a sneak peek at the new film it certainly appears to be filled with all the magic that children and adults the world over have come to expect from A.A. Milne’s classic character.
McGregor appears to be bringing a genuine dose of authenticity to the role of Christopher Robin and the film will also see the likes of Chris O’Dowd, Nick Mohammed, Brad Garrett and Peter Capaldi along for the ride as well.
Christopher Robin will be released in cinemas on September 27.
