J.K. Rowling offered us a fantastic new world in 2016’s massive fantasy blockbuster Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Now we’re about to get the second part of that story with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald which has just released its awesome new trailer.
Check it out below:
Here’s the synopsis:
Making good on his threat, Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) has escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
The new trailer does a terrific job of introducing Jude Law as the young Albus Dumbledore, professor of Transfiguration at Hogwarts. Law plays him as charismatic, clever and a little bit cunning and with an eye placed on the greater dangers than the Ministry of Magic can’t currently see. Placed beside Redmayne’s Newt the two of them will have to draw on their considerable resolve to stop Johnny Depp’s vindictive dark wizard Grindelwald from making his dark ambitions a reality.
Harry Potter guardian David Yates again returns to helm this fantastic sequel and he again looks like he’ll be doing something very special with the film. Once again the special effects look amazing, and it appears they’ll be plenty of awesome spectacle for fans waiting up on the big screen.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald arrives in cinemas on November 15, 2018.
