Every outlaw has an origin, and long-time Star Wars fans will get their chance to learn about how Han Solo became the admirable rogue that we’ve all come to love and adore in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
The brand new trailer and it is all kinds of exciting. Check it out below:
Here’s the synopsis:
Set in an uncharted galactic frontier, talented young thief and wannabe pilot Han Solo finds himself with the opportunity of a lifetime as he is drafted into a high stakes criminal heist that could very well make him the greatest pilot in the whole of the galaxy.
The new trailer has plenty of wicked new footage and finally gives us a look at Han’s new adversary, the dangerous gang lord Dryden Vos played by Paul Bettany. Bettany looks like a pretty nasty bruiser and has a real Scarface vibe going on thanks to some serious scarred flesh across his face. He really gets into it in the trailer, and I’m certain that they’ll be more than one occasion where he and Han are staring at each other down the barrel of a blaster.
Director Ron Howard has really tapped into the film’s Western undertone, and Alden Ehrenreich has plenty of swag going on as the younger Han. It’s also pretty clear that he’s untested and yearning for a challenge, and that this ‘job’ that he’s about to undertake will permanently put him on the map.
But make no mistake, while his chances for success are pretty high, it’s a choice that will ultimately be his most defining character moment and will turn him into the mercenary styled smuggler that we meet in The Cantina in A New Hope.
Solo: A Star Wars Story will be one wicked ride, and fans, both old and new, will certainly feel the adrenaline of this fast-moving action adventure when it is released in cinemas on May 24.
