Cate Blanchett and Jack Black are spinning a spell in Eli Roth’s big screen adaptation of The House with a Clock in Its Walls and the brand new trailer sprinkles plenty of magic.

Lewis Barnavelt (Owen Vaccaro) is a young orphan who helps his uncle Jonathan (Jack Black) and a witch named Mrs. Zimmerman (Cate Blanchett) to find a magic clock that contains the power to bring about the end of the world.
Taking audiences into a spooky new story, The House with a Clock in Its Walls has plenty of whimsy, magic and scares all wrapped up in a crackling adventure that finds newcomer Owen Vaccaro as the orphaned Lewis Barnavelt learning about the power of magic from his eccentric warlock uncle Jonathan (Jack Black) and their mysterious next door neighbor and all powerful witch Mrs. Zimmerman (Cate Blanchett).
But while there’s plenty of fun to be had here, don’t forget that they’ll also be plenty of scares. And these come courtesy of the film’s director, noted horror autuer Eli Roth who is using his talents to get your heart racing with this one.
