There’s magic in the air in the brand new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and this second chapter in the Fantastic Beasts saga charts an exciting, and dangerous, new chapter for magical zoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne).

Check out the exciting new trailer below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Making good on his threat, Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) has escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

If you’re looking for something astounding then you’ll most definitely find it in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Following on from both the first look image, and the first teaser trailer we now have an even greater picture of what awaits us in the much anticipated sequel and it’s an all-together darker ride within the Wizarding World as the malevolent force of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) rises to power.

The trailer is packed out with some amazing footage and in terms of scene stealing moments they’re equally shared by co-stars Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore and Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald. Both appear to have their own unique motivations and can see the greater picture in front of them and this makes for a very interesting dynamic up on screen.
