Maverick filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is ready to shake things up with his highly anticipated adaptation of Battle Angel Alita, and the new trailer for Alita: Battle Angel is an action packed watch.

Here’s the official synopsis:

After she is discarded in a trash pile, cyborg Alita (Rosa Salazr) is brought back to life by the kindly Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) and has to navigate a strange and exotic future world.

Rodriguez has packed out his film with dynamic action from beginning to end and if you’re wanting to be transported into a bold new world, well, you’ll find it here. The scope and scale of the world building on offer here is immense, but along with the incredible science fiction landscape Rodriguez has also made sure to keep the film in line with the heart and emotion of the original manga.

Picking up from the first teaser, this new full look trailer really grounds its audience in the narrative and action of the film and promises plenty of astounding visuals to light your senses on fire.

Lead actress Rosa Salazar makes a big leap forward as the lost, yet magical android Alita who must learn to except her true abilities while also trying to find her place in the world. Salazar packs out the role with a lot of heart and you really feel for her struggles as she attempts to build a future for herself.

Rodriguez is a filmmaker who is always willing to push things a little bit farther and here alongside producers James Cameron and Jon Landau he has the opportunity to craft a truly magnificent piece of filmmaking. Rodriguez fans are going to love this movie and there’s plenty of excitement to await up on the big screen.

Alita: Battle Angel is a piece of science fiction not to be missed and sci-fi fans will be lining up for this one when it arrives in cinemas this year on December 26.
