Todd Phillips calls a wrap on ‘Joker’

It’s one of our most anticipated films of 2019 and following on from our first look at Joker, director Todd Phillips has now officially confirmed that principle production has finished and he is moving into the editing room.

Phillips took to his Instagram channel to confirm that production had finished on Joker and that he will now be working on the film’s edit leading up to its release next year for October 3.

While Phillips has been keeping quiet on the film’s narrative and just exactly what we can expect from Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of The Clown Prince Of Crime, he has offered us a taste of the film thanks to his Instagram account and the film looks to be incredibly rich in character and detail.

Here’s the official synopsis:

In 1981, a failed stand-up comedian named Arthur Fleck (Phoenix) disregarded by the society turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City.

Just what awakes us in Joker is still to be seen, but it will be a tremendously exciting film and we can’t wait to see what comes next in 2019 on October 3.
