Patty Jenkins is a directing force to be reckoned with her new miniseries, I Am The Night, is set to take audiences to some very dark places as she uncovers a terrible mystery that continues to cast its shadow over Hollywood.

I Am The Night is the story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley), who was given away by her teenage birth mother to a black restroom attendant in a Nevada casino in 1949. As she begins to investigate the secrets to her past with investigative journalist Jay Singletary (Pine), she follows a sinister trail that swirls closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel, who was involved in the legendary Black Dahlia slaying of Elizabeth Short in Los Angeles in 1947.

With it’s creepy premise, terrific cast led by Chris Pine and featuring newcomer India Eisley, not to mention spot on period detail and the great use of cinematography and colour, I Am The Night is a miniseries that will seriously test the composure of audiences everywhere. Jenkins is really driving home the psychological edge of the series and with its dark corners and endless secrets its going to be one very engrossing piece of television.

I Am The Night will arrive on screens on Soho and Neon on January 29.
