Take a brand new look at ‘Shazam!’

If you’re looking for some super action in your life this year then you’d better make sure you check out the blockbuster superhero-comedy Shazam! which is going to bring the adventure and the funny together like you’ve never seen before.

We’re a few months away from the upcoming release and we now have a brand new look at lead superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi) and his nefarious antagonist Dr. Thaddeus Sivana as played by the supremely talented Mark Strong. There’s will be an immense battle of both strength and willpower as Shazam, and his younger alter-ego Billy Batson (Asher Angel) have to stop Sivana’s desire for world domination and power.

The new image has the two characters squaring up to each other like a pair of gunfighters and you can bet that the action is going to go down quickly.

With a new trailer soon to arrive, audiences can expect to get more of an insight into the characters, narrative, action and most importantly the comedy of Shazam!

Here’s the official synopsis:

When 12-year old orphan Billy Batson (Asher Angel) encounters a magical Wizard (Djimon Hounsou) he is granted unimaginable super powers that transform him into the super hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), gifting him with a range of powers from a group of mythological heroes including Salomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. But while he first uses his powers as Shazam for mischief and fun, Batson will soon have to rise to the occasion to take on villainous super genius Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong) and save the world.

Get ready to say the magic word when Shazam! arrives in cinemas on April 4.
