Matt Reeves ‘The Batman’ may begin shooting soon
The DCEU continues to truck forward with the success of Aquaman and one of the most anticipated titles is The Batman from noted director Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes), and it could soon find its way into production.
It’s been a very long road for The Batman, with star Ben Affleck originally supposed to write and direct before being replaced by Reeves, and even now his position within the movie has been questioned due to his own personal issues. However a report from Batman-News suggests that The Batman is likely to head into production by November of this year and that we could be hearing about further casting and script news soon.
Regardless of where we are going with the announcement the big question remaining is whether or not Affleck will remain with the film as Bruce Wayne/Batman or not. Given the commitment needed to get into shape for such a role, and the extreme physical presence that a performer has to have as Batman, if recasting is an issue, as Batman-News suggests it may likely be the case, things will have to get cracking on casting the Dark Knight sooner than later so that whoever portrays him will be ready for the film.
As to who we would like to see take over the role, well we’ll update you with our own choices soon. Regardless of how the whole casting thing works out, it’s just very cool to know that things could be moving forward with The Batman soon and we’re excited to see what comes next.
