Here’s the full synopsis:

When Anna Garcia (Linda Cardellini), a social worker and widow raising her two children in 1970s Los Angeles, is called to check in on one of her cases, she finds signs of foul play. As she digs deeper, she finds striking similarities between the case and the terrifying supernatural occurrences haunting her family. Enlisting the help of a local faith healer, she discovers that La Llorona has latched herself onto Anna and will stop at nothing to take her children.

Based on the chilling Latin American folk tale, La Llorona, The Curse of the Weeping Woman looks like a genuinely terrifying watch and the film is packed out with sinister jump scares.

Director Michael Chaves makes his debut here and he’s really amping up the creep factor here with guidance from producer and scare master James Wan. There’s also the appearance of Linda Cardellini as the central character, haunted social worker Anna Garcia and her presence in the film is something to really look forward to.
