Sports movies always get us amped and excited and Stephen Merchant’s Fighting With My Family looks to be an exceptionally poignant tale of one massive underdog who made it to the big leagues and through sheer willpower and tenacity became a champion.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Based on a true story, Fighting With My Family follows reformed gangster Ricky (Nick Frost), wife Julia (Lena Headey), daughter Paige (Florence Pugh) and son Zak (Jack Lowden) as they make a living wrestling together in tiny venues. When Paige and Zak get the opportunity to try out for WWE, the family grabs a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn their wildest dreams into a dazzling future. However, brother and sister quickly discover that to become superstars, both their talent and their relationship will be put to the test.

Director Stephen Merchant has assembled an amazing film here and you really feel every moment of young Saraya “Paige” Bevis (Florence Pugh) incredible journey from her hometown of Norwich, England all the way to the big leagues where she ends up working in WWE, and eventually competing in WrestleMania. It’s an incredibly inspiring story and Pugh gives an amazing performance, along with her on screen family who include Jack Lowden as her brother Zak “Zodiac” Bevis, Lena Headey as her mother Julia “Sweet Saraya” Bevis and Nick Frost as her father Patrick “Rowdy Ricky Knight” Bevis.

Frighting With My Family is packed out with love, heart, dreams, glory and plenty of high-flying, canvas crashing stunts and it’s absolute must watch cinema at its finest. Producer and co-star Dwayne Johnson is also extremely proud of the film and was excited to get to bring Paige’s story to the big screen and also went into the details of her journey in a brand new featurtte:
