It doesn’t much cooler than being a superhero, and young Billy Batson (Asher Angel) is about to find out just how much fun he can have with a whole host of new super powers in Shazam!

When 12-year old orphan Billy Batson (Asher Angel) encounters a magical Wizard (Djimon Hounsou) he is granted unimaginable super powers that transform him into the super hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), gifting him with a range of powers from a group of mythological heroes including Salomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. But while he first uses his powers as Shazam for mischief and fun, Batson will soon have to rise to the occasion to take on villainous super genius Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong) and save the world.
Following on from the initial first trailer, and our first look into the motivations behind Shazam!, we now have a greater insight into this fantastical adventure thanks to the new trailer. Set to a funky remix of Eminem’s seminal track ‘My Name Is’, this new trailer for Shazam! completely goes for it with plenty of zany action and director David F. Sandberg is really putting the ‘super’ back in superhero here.
Packed out with phenomenal special effects and a whole lot of fun, this new Shazam! trailer really focuses in on Billy’s transformation into Shazam (Zachary Levi), and all the fun that he and his best friend Frederick ‘Freddy’ Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer ) get up to. Along with feats of incredible strength and ‘leaping tall buildings in a single bound’, the new trailer also gives us a taste of the showdown that Shazam will face in the form of the nefarious Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong) who desires the powers of Shazam for himself and will unleash absolute chaos in order to acquire them.
It’s never been more exciting than to be a superhero in Shazam! and one teenager is about to find out that with great power comes a whole lot of fun when Shazam! arrives in cinemas on April 4.
