Joker is far and away one of this years most exciting and anticipated films with a bold, dark and twisted new take on the Clown Prince of Crime thanks to director Todd Phillips.
Filming wrapped production on December 3, 2018 and Phillips has taken to his editing room to get the film into shape, and now via his Instagram the director has given us a subtle tease of what is to come:

The stark black and white image presents Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck sitting in front of a giant 1960s era TV with a look of absolute malice on his face. While the image is completely cryptic and doesn’t give anything away it’s still a great little taste of what is to come with this very original take on the legendary DC villain.
In 1981, a failed stand-up comedian named Arthur Fleck (Phoenix) disregarded by the society turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City.
While I still believe that we’re a little bit of a while away from any type of official footage just yet, the hype is most definitely building for Joker which will arrive in cinemas on October 3.
