BE FOREWARNED SPOILERS ARE AHEAD SO MAKE SURE YOU’VE SEEN AVENGERS: ENDGAME BEFORE YOU WATCH THE BRAND NEW TRAILER FOR SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME.
Here’s the full synopsis:
Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned (Jacob Batalon), MJ (Zendaya), and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!
Director Jon Watts isn’t wasting any time here with the new trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home and he’s promising plenty of incredible action and some terrific narrative storytelling that will really get you amped.
In this new footage we’re really seeing a very different kind of Peter Parker, one who is torn between his youth and his mounting responsibilities as a superhero. Then there’s also the huge hole in his life thanks to the death of Tony Stark and the loss of this father figure to him. But Peter is about to get a new mentor to learn from and he’s not the cool, slick best dad on the block that Tony was, no Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) is on the scene now and he’s pretty much the mean new step-dad who hasn’t got time for Peter’s teenage misgivings.
Along with Fury, Spider-Man is also teaming up with another interesting superhero this time in the form of Jake Gyllenhaal’s Quentin Beck also known as Mysterio. This new hero is pretty damn slick and he’s got some some wicked powers to boot, and there’s also the fact that he’s from another dimension as well, which really cranks up the action. But I’ve got a hunch that Mysterio isn’t exactly who he says he is and this should definitely prove interesting as the film moves forward.
The action looks incredibly massive this time, and Peter is also getting an all-new stealth suit which recalls Spider-Man’s classic black costume from the comics. There are certainly plenty of twists this time around and with the film’s international scope things are really going to get interesting.
Get ready for one super fun ride when Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives in theatres on July 3.
