It’s official, acclaimed director Taika Waititi will be back to direct Thor 4 which will see him reunite with star Chris Hemsworth in a film that will continue to explore the future of the MCU.
Waititi’s involvement with Thor 4 was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, and will see the director continuing the story he told in 2017’s smash hit Thor: Ragnarok, and which will explore the further cosmic adventures of the God of Thunder.
The New Zealand born director really raised the bar with what a Marvel movie could be with Thor: Ragnarok and his involvement with Thor 4 is something to be very excited about.
In accepting to work on Thor 4, Waititi will push back development of the forthcoming Akira film, and after completing Thor 4, the filmmaker will be back to work on Akira.
Waititi’s Thor 4 will fit into Marvel Studios new Phase Four section of a still growing MCU and they’ll be plenty of excitement ahead as to where the God of Thunder’s next adventure will take him.
In the mean time the director is being kept busy by his latest comedy Jojo Rabbit which promises to deliver all kinds of funny and will arrive in cinemas this year on October 24.
