Marvel fans will be rejoicing this weekend as Marvel Studios confirmed that the long rumoured cosmic space adventure The Eternals is now moving into production, with the studio announcing the cast and release date for the new project.
This bold new entry into Marvel’s Phase Four will be directed by Chloe Zhao and will star an eclectic cast of talented performers including Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Don Lee, Angelina Jolie, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, and Kumail Nanjiani.
A creation of the legendary Jack Kirby, The Eternals focuses on a group of super powered heroes who are bound to the cosmos and who were created by The Celestials, who were first introduced to audiences in Guardians of the Galaxy, and who have ties running back to the Infinity Stones.
Following the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame and the whole saga of the Infinity Stones, The Eternals will likely pick up the story and will move forward into a brand new phase of the MCU.
There’s still no details on the film’s narrative, but this entry into the MCU will no-doubt be a fascinating ride and will introduce audiences to a brand new cast of characters that many audiences will be unfamilair with.
The Eternals will arrive in cinemas in November 2020.
