The passion and glory of the life and times of warrior monarach, Henry V is ready to be brought to life through the lens of director David Michod in The King.
Starring rising star Timothée Chalamet as Henry V, The King has just released an all-new trailer and it promises plenty of incredible dramatics on a very large scale.
Watch the brand new trailer below:
Here’s the full synopsis:
Hal, a wayward prince, ascends the English Throne upon his father’s death, and must navigate the palace snake pit and inherited war and chaos.
Michod fills the frame of The King with a tonne of political intrigue and a beautifully rendered portrait of the medieval world and this film is sure to get you excited.
Chalamet appears ready to give another powerhouse of a performance as Henry V, a man beset by duty and who has a ravenous need for loyalty and glory. Joining him in the film is Joel Edgerton as Falstaff, the famed character of Shakepseare’s Henried and who also serves as both the film’s producer and screenwriter.
Together Michod and Egerton pull together an amazing portrait of the wolrd brought to life by William Shakespeare in his works including Henry IV, Part 1, Henry IV, Part 2 and Henry V, and together with considerable historical accuracy and an all-star cast The King is set to be an event level movie.
One of the most exciting parts of the film will surely be the Battle of Agincourt, and it should prove to be a most epic battle moment.
