It’s regarded as a classic of the horror genre and now H.G. Wells’ horror story The Invisible Man is about to have new life breathed into from director Leigh Whannell, who previously directed the incredibly savvy Upgrade, and now looks to put a brand new spin on this very scary tale.
Watch the brand new trailer for The Invisible Man below:
Here’s the official synopsis:
After her abusive ex-boyfriend commits suicide, naïve Cecilia Kass (Elisabeth Moss) begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her former boyfriend is not actually dead as she had thought.
Written and directed by Whannell, and starring Elizabeth Moss in the lead role, The Invisible Man is a taut and clever psychological horror film that finds Moss’s young and naive Cecilia trying to out run the past of her abusive ex-boyfriend Adrian Griffin (Oliver Jackson-Cohen). But when it appears that the sociopathic Griffin has committed suicide it looks like Cecilia might be able to move on from her life….until it becomes apparent that Griffin isn’t as dead as he first appeared and is now an entirely new more monstrous persona.
The shocks and scares of The Invisible Man look like they’ll really get under your skin here and Whannell has really dialled up the horror elements of this incredibly scary and out of control piece of horror cinema. If you like horror works that keep you on the edge then this is the one you’ll want to see.
Brace yourself for all kinds of scares when The Invisible Man arrives in cinemas next year on March 5, 2020.
