Yesterday the best and brightest in the video game industry were awarded at the 2019 Game Awards and in a surprise announcement audiences were treated to an all new spot for the forthcoming Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).

Following on from the first trailer this new spot really went for it with a whole heap of action and the MAYHEM was cranked up here. Check it out below:

Alongside this new spot we’ve also been treated to a whole heap of brand new images as well which shines a light on Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, along with her evolving girl gang who include vigilantes Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), police detective Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) and the mysterious Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco).

Together this team of would-be vigilantes have to face down explosive mob boss Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor) and his psychotic enforcer Victor (Chris Messina) and from this new footage you can be sure that it’s going to totally crazy here!

Director Cathy Yan has really cranked up the innovation here with a film that is packed full of vibrant colour and light and really carves out its own unique niche of neo-noir styling.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Since the events of Suicide Squad, Harley Quinn has left the Joker. Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime. When a young girl named Cassandra Cain comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord who goes by the name of Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to protect her.

Brace yourselves for a totally wild time at the movies next year when Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) arrives in cinemas on February 6, 2020.
