Matt Damon talks ‘The Last Duel’
It’s been sometime since Matt Damon asked “how you like ’em apples”, and now he’s set to re-team alongside long time best friend and fellow Academy Award winner Ben Affleck in The Last Duel, a medieval epic that will be directed by the legendary directorial force that is Ridley Scott.
Based on the historical account of two knights who fought the last ever sanctioned judicial duel in France in 1386 fought between two Norman knights.
Adapted from true historical fact, and with Ridley Scott’s keen eye and the pairing of Damon and Affleck, who also wrote the script alongside writer Nicole Holofcener, The Last Duel is a film that will make for a thoroughly epic film experience.
Damon discussed the film and his re-teaming with Affleck in an interview with Conan O’Brien and it’s shaping up to be every interesting indeed.
The Last Duel is a film that I’m incredibly interested to see come to life and with its pairing of Damon and Affleck, it’s hard-edged medieval source material and the scope of Scott’s direction, I have a feeling this is going to be incredible.The Last Duel will arrive in cinemas on December 25.
