Here’s the official synopsis:

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.

We’ve long been excited about the possibilities that a Morbius film holds for audiences and this first trailer did not disappoint as it introduced us to an incredibly complex character and highlighted some amazing action sequences and a dark morality that doctor Michael Morbius (Jared Leto) will have to walk.

Director Daniel Espinosa (Life) really goes for it here, and the result is packed out with incredible thrills and really brings something different to the superhero genre. Sony Pictures have really been amping things up with their emerging superhero universe that we first saw in Venom, and with the likes of Morbius and the upcoming Venom 2, this is a superhero universe that is absolutely changing the game.

The trailer for Morbius is a great first tease and is set to an eerie rendition of ‘Clair De Lune’, and for audiences who watch till the end, well, they’ll be in for a terrific surprise with this one, and something that will make audiences very excited for the future of Morbius and what he holds for future superhero adaptations.

Get ready for some high-energy action horror when Morbius arrives in cinemas on July 30.
