Things are moving extremely fast for Matt Reeves’s The Batman, and following a first look at Robert Pattinson in costume as Batman, we now have our first look at this film’s version of The Batmobile, and it’s a radical departure from what has come before.
Reeves took to his Twitter to showcase this new Batmobile, which is entirely keeping with his film’s heightened real edge and is bringing out some classic American Muscle Car vibes with it’s wide body and sleek designs.
From a first look it appears that this Batmobile appears to be a modified and gruntier version of a 1970s Plymouth Barracuda and it’s packing some serious intensity with a massive rear engine that is sure to give Pattinson’s Batman a real kick when he takes to the streets of Gotham.
With out first look at both the new Batsuit and this new Batmobile it’s all looking like Reeves is taking a hyper-reality focus to this film, and is setting up Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne as a bit of a gear head, and whom has invested in machinery and equipment that has a highly engineered and practical to feel to it, with practicality favoured over aesthetics.
While we’re still a way from any kind of trailer materials it’s clear that work is progressing fast on The Batman and that audiences will get something incredibly different when it arrives in cinemas next year on June 24, 2021.
