When it comes to actors who are walking tanks, Chris Hemsworth is one of the best around, and this time the Hollywood A-lister gets to flex his muscle with a full-on action movie that absolutely goes for the jugular in Extraction.
Check out the intense new trailer below:
Here’s the official synopsis:
Black-market mercenary Tyler Rake (Hemsworth) who has nothing to lose is hired to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord. But in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers, an already deadly mission approaches the impossible.
The directorial debut of long-time Hollywood stunt whizz-kid Sam Hargrave takes it up a notch with Extraction, an exclusive Netflix production that dials up the action is an intense throwback to the hard-charging films of the 1980s that pitted one intense solder-of-fortune type up against an army of scumbags and turned everything into a playground of destruction.
This is the type of cinema that I was raised on and this new trailer certainly gave me a hell of kick with it’s in your face action, and Hemsworth heavy handed beat downs that he lays upon the bad guys that are trying to stop his mission.
But in amidst the fists, bullets and RPG attacks, Hemsworth also brings an intense vulnerability as Rake, who while he maybe a walking brick-shithouse, is clearly a pretty messed up character who is looking for some kind of redemption and may be able to find it with protecting the impressionable Ovi (Rudhraksh Jaiswal).
For those looking for something explosive to relieve the stress of the current lockdown, Extraction makes for a terrific win and will be available on Netflix on April 24.
