Henry Cavill to return as Superman for future projects
It’s been a long time coming, but finally, after months and months of speculation, Henry Cavill is now reported to be ready to return to the role of Clark Kent/Superman for Warner Brothers.
While there’s no confirmed news yet of a Man of Steel sequel being made ready for Cavill, or some other kind of Superman project in development, new details have arrived that Cavill is once again in talks to appear in a future DC film courtesy of Deadline.
While Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984 and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad have both finished their principle photography, and are prepping for release, it could be that Cavill might make an appearance in some future projects such as Aquaman 2, Shazam 2 and Black Adam.
It’s only speculation at the moment, but the return of Henry Cavill to the DCEU as Superman would be amazing and it’s something that we’ve long wanted to see happen. More so, if these rumours of Cavill returning to the DCEU are true then what this really does it set the scene for the return of a much needed and called for sequel to Man of Steel, which Cavill has long wanted to make and where he has wanted to explore more traditional aspects of the character.
It’s exciting news and I hope that we do get to see Cavill fly once more as Superman in the near future.
