Psychological thrillers of the cat and mouse variety always make for engaging viewing and director Giuseppe Capotondi’s The Burnt Orange Heresy appears to be a piece of cinema that will have you on the edge the entire time.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Starring Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Mick Jagger, and Donald Sutherland, The Burnt Ornage Heresy takes audiences into the world of the super-high end world of luxury art and the artists, collectors and middle men who operate within it. Danish star Claes Bang makes for a great casting decision as the ambitious art dealer James Figueras who is willing to put aside his ethical responsibilities in order to profit large. Backing him up is the super talented Elizabeth Debicki as his girlfriend Berenice, who is willing to go to whatever ends she needs to in order to reach her own goals. Add in the additional presence of Donald Sutherland and the legendary Mick Jagger and you’ve got a very interesting round-up indeed.
What appealed to me about this first trailer for The Burnt Orange Heresy was that it was a film that very much was going to hit it’s audience on an intellectual level, and director Capotondi uses his film’s narrative and his cast to keep his audience on edge here. If you’re seeking something clever and calculating then you’ve found it here.
The Burnt Orange Heresy will arrive in cinemas on July 2.
