2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year thanks to COVID-19 and for film fans it’s been a see-saw type of feeling with many blockbuster titles being pushed on and off again. One film that got caught up in all of this was Christopher Nolan’s science fiction, spy thriller Tenet, and after three consecutive moves, Tenet is now confirmed to be being released on August 26 worldwide in IMAX.
In a statement issued by Warner Brothers, and reported by Variety, Tenet will be released in 70 overseas territories, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia and the United Kingdom on August 26, before being rolled out to US theaters on September 3. The studio said there are no plans for it to release in China yet.
It’s a big push for Warner Brothers, and fans will be extremely excited with this new news. Tenet has been a long time coming, and there is great expectation and excitement for the blockbuster thrills that await in this production.

Armed with only one word – Tenet – and fighting for the survival of the entire world, a mysterious secret agent (John David Washington) journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
Tenet will arrive in IMAX theaters on August 26.
