When it comes to evil, one of the greatest and most chilling characters to ever grace the silver screen was Nurse Mildred Ratched in 1975’s One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Played with an icy demeanor by Louise Fletcher, in a performance that won her an Academy Award for Best Actress, Ratched has been described as one of the most chilling characters ever portrayed on screen and now her murderous origins will be explored in an all-new series titled Ratched.
The first trailer has arrived and it promises plenty of uneasy tension and a psychotic performance from Sarah Paulson and is sure to keep audiences on edge. Check it out below:

Ratched is described as “an origins story, beginning in 1947, which will follow Ratched’s journey and evolution from nurse to full-fledged monster. The series will track her murderous progression through the mental health care system.”
The new trailer is oozing with tension and malice, and Paulson looks to have a crafted a genuinely psychopathic character who is sure to keep audiences in check, as she slowly begins to descend into madness as she enters the work of mental health in the late 1950s.
Ractched has a genuine creepy and unnerving quality to it which is brought out in the new trailer and there’s plenty of scares awaiting audiences with this one.
Get ready for a fright when Ratched arrives on Netflix on September 18.
