Prepare to get super again with ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’
DC Fandome was an amazing day of fun announcements, and one of the most unexpected came from the panel for Shazam! While star Zachary Levi played it up as a light-hearted get together with his co-stars Asher Angel, Meagan Good, Jack Dylan Grazer, Faithe Herman, Adam Brody, alongside director David F, Sandberg, and this Shazam! ‘super family’ have also now teased the official title for the forthcoming sequel, Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
It was young star Faithe Herman who was the one to actually reveal the film’s title thanks to her slick illustrative poster for the sequel, and she also revealed that the one and only Sinbad will be joining the sequel as well, although as yet in an undisclosed role, after the recurring in-joke that many believed he was in the first film!
We have a title! #Shazam! Fury of the Gods

While we did get a reveal of the sequel’s title, Sandberg and his cast did keep very tight lipped on anything actually to do with the plotting of it, although anyone who has seen the first film will know that diabolical alien Mister Mind was teased at the end of Shazam! and this is likely where the sequel will pick up from.
Shazam! was a fantastic superhero watch for the whole family and really brought out the fun and spontaneity of what a superhero film could be like and I’m very excited to see where it go’s to from here.
Production for Shazam! Fury of the Gods will kick off in 2021 and the film has a scheduled release date of November 4, 2022.
