British hunk Henry Golding is rapidly climbing up Hollywood’s A-list and is becoming a go-to performer after his starring roles in Crazy Rich Asians, Last Christmas and The Gentlemen.

He’s now ready to burst on the action scene with the much anticipated Snake Eyes, which is set to tell the origin of G.I. Joe’s most famous character, and the actor is promising some raw action moments with this one.

In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on The Tonight Show, Golding talked Snake Eyes and teased the action that is to come.

“They put me through my paces. We had four hours of choreography every single day, we had two hours fo script work, then an hour of PT for literally two and a half months.”

Golding confirmed that the training was harsh, but it had an incredible effect on himself and the character, “it was worth it because I became a weapon. I’m not gonna lie.”

In a special gift to fans, Golding also shared a first look at the behind-the-scenes of his training for Snake Eyes, and long-time martial arts fans will be very pleased by this one. Check it out below:

The footage cuts straight to the point and showcases Golding efficiency with a katana blade and it certainly primes audiences for some incredible action sequences to come.

Snake Eyes is really set to bring something new to the G.I. Joe franchise with a cast that includes Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Peter Mensah as Blind Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

Shot on location in Japan, Snake Eyes is going to be a full-on action event movie, and I’m well excited as it’s been a while since we’ve had a decent Ninja movie and I believe that Snake Eyes is gonna deliver the goods.

Alongside his very busy schedule, Golding also confirmed that he’s soon to be a new father and is very excited about that new chapter in his life.

Snake Eyes is set to arrive in cinemas next year on October 22, 2021.
