Temuera Morrison has brought the character of Boba Fett back to life in badass fashion in Season Two of The Mandalorian, and following the conclusion of last week’s episode, ‘Chapter 16: The Rescue’, audiences were treated to a stunning post-credit scene that confirmed that the galaxy’s most ruthless bounty hunter was ready to take what was his.
Audiences were treated to Boba and his female companion and all-around ‘ride or die’ Fennec Shand returning to Tatooine, where Boba assassinated bloated Hutt Syndicate crime lord Bib Fortuna, along with his followers, with ruthless aggression, and which saw Boba now assuming control of the Hutt Syndicate and staking his claim to rule the criminal underworld of the Outer Rim.
Now The Book of Boba Fett, a new original series for Disney+ has been confirmed and it will star Morrison as Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Robert Rodriguez will executive produce, with its events taking place during the timeline of The Mandalorian.
The possibility of seeing more of Temuera Morrison’s swagger as Boba Fett in his own limited series is simply AWESOME, and I can’t wait to see what Tem does now that he’s about to become the Don Corleone of the Star Wars universe.
The Book of Boba Fett will arrive on Disney+ in December 2021.
