Money. Success. Ambition. Deception. Secrets. Lies. All of it comes together in director Sean Durkin’s burning psychological marriage thriller The Nest, which taps into the

Here’s the official synopsis:

Rory O’Hara (Jude Law), an ambitious entrepreneur and former commodities broker, persuades his American wife, Allison (Carrie Coon) and their children to leave the comforts of suburban America and return to his native England during the 1980s. Sensing opportunity, Rory rejoins his former firm and leases a centuries-old country manor, with grounds for Allison’s horses and plans to build a stable. But the family buckles beneath an unaffordable lifestyle and increasing isolation as they head toward a seemingly inevitable breakdown.

The Nest is family-drama that soon turns into a burning psychological thriller, with a marriage that is on a knifes edge and stars Jude Law and Carrie Coon have never looked better on-screen with an interplay with one another that really takes things to the edge.

Durkin strokes a balance between the excess of a film like Wall Street, with the raw emotion of Ordinary People, and the result is a film experience that promises to cut its audience right to the bone with an extreme sense of the drama of two people coming undone.

The Nest has a show-stopping debut at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and audiences can expect something raw and completely original, along with two stunning performances courtesy of Law and Coon when it arrives in cinemas on February 4, 2021.
