NBA megastar LeBron James is ready to bring the star power, along with some serious slam dunks alongside Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes in Space Jam: A New Legacy, the exciting blockbuster sequel to 1996’s smash-hit Space Jam and this one is gonna be fun.
A brand new set of images has been released showcasing the action that awaits Space Jam fans, and LeBron looks awesome alongside the Tune Squad as they take to the court.
Here’s the official synopsis:
When basketball champion and global icon LeBron James and his young son Dom (Cedric Joe) – who dreams of being a video game developer – are trapped in a virtual space by a rogue algorithm named Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle), LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the Al-G’s digitized champions on the court.
While we’re still yet to see a new trailer for Space Jam: A New Legacy, these first-look images are packed out with colour and pop, and the film’s virtual reality setting is sure to lead to some awesome moments on screen for audiences. Mix in the presence of all your favourite Looney Tunes including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Lola Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety and Sylvester and the Tasmanian Devil, and you’ve got all kinds of fun to look forward to.
Space Jam: A New Legacy is shaping to be a very exciting sequel, and I’m particularly excited to see what happens next. The original 1996 film had a huge effect on me as a kid, and I absolutely loved seeing Michael Jordan take on the Monstars. Now 25 years later, we’re about to jump back into the action and it sure looks like it’s gonna be a wild ride of basketball, Looney Tunes and jam-driven action!
Space Jam: A New Legacy will arrive in cinemas on July 15.
