Step inside the action of ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ in new featurette
WandaVision ‘The Season Finale’ really shook up the MCU and now we’re in for a full-on action ride thanks to the arrival of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which is set to premiere on Disney+ in just over a week’s time.
And with the impending release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Marvel Studios has also treated us to a new look inside the series with a new featurette that focuses on the character dynamics that are shared between Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Check it out below:
Describing the character dynamics of the show, Anthony Mackie, who stars as Sam ‘The Falcon’ Wilson said “it’s an example of opposites attract. We couldn’t be more different.” Mackie also expanded on the relationship that he and Stan shared together on screening saying, “we have fun with each other and that carries into these characters.”
Sebastian Stan, who portrays Bucky ‘The Winter Soldier’ Barnes also expanded further on how the feeling of the series was also created by genre, and that the creative team looked to the action, buddy-cop comedies of the 1980s such as Lethal Weapon and 48 Hours for inspiration in building out the show. “It’s a throwback to all those buddy comedy, action movies. You just don’t know if they’re going to kill each other or not,” said Stan.
From the footage that we have seen from the series so far, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is shaping up to be a major piece of action cinema that has been translated to the streaming landscape, and with six episodes, fans are going to be in for a thrill ride that can only be described as a six-hour action movie.
