The mischief arrives in new trailer for ‘Loki’
He’s the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most diabolical character, who was played to perfection by English thespian Tom Hiddleston, and now the mischievous and quick-witted Loki is ready to cause a lot more trouble in his brand new series which is coming to Disney+
To celebrate the impending arrival of Loki we now have a brand new trailer. Check it out below:
Here’s the official synopsis:
After stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA) organization and their Time Keepers, and is forced to fix several timelines he broke while traveling through time altering human history with the Tesseract, ending up trapped in his own crime thriller.
Picking up following the events of Avengers: Endgame, where a pre-reformed and still dangerous Loki snatched up the Tesseract, we now find this Machiavellian villain entangled into the world of the Time Variance Authority or TVA and it’s here where he’s enlisted to help end a serious of escalating multiple time-loops that he has created, which have been named ‘The Loki Variant’. And it’s only about to get stranger from there.
Tom Hiddleston once again returns to the mischief of Loki, and this is not the reformed Loki of Thor: Ragnarok, but instead, the diabolical villain that fans the world over have come to love and adore and he appears to be having a blast with the character. Strategic, calculating and very willing to get his hands dirty, this Loki is sure to cause plenty of chaos and fans who have been longing for his return will be very happy with this trailer.
Also standing out in the new Loki trailer is Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, a mid-level bureaucratic middle manager who has been assigned to the ‘Loki Variant’ and this is Wilson like we’ve never seen him before. As Mobius he’s the man who’s seen it all and is equally engaged in this crazy time-travel chess game with Loki and the two of them are sure to get up to plenty of fun here.
Loki is set to be another solid entry to the Disney+ range of original MCU series, which have included the fabulous WandaVision and the adrenaline-charging The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But Loki is about to really diverge from these two series thanks to its unique sci-fi time-travel setting. The new series has been described as a ‘crime-thriller and it has this very unique perspective to it, with a unique mix of science fiction and call-outs to classic shows such as The Twilight Zone in this six-episode series.
Those who know me well know that the MCU’s cosmic narratives excite me the most and it’s not hard to say that Loki is my most anticipated MCU Disney+ series of the year and after watching this trailer I can confirm that I’m well pumped for what comes next with this series.
Loki is set to debut on Disney+ on June 11 and you better be ready for what comes next.
