It’s good to be back with the brand new trailer for ‘Fast & Furious 9’
The weight is finally over and we’re back with Dominic Toretto and the Fast Family for one of 2021’s biggest blockbuster cinematic events in Fast & Furious 9 and for those looking for an adrenaline rush, well, you’ve come to the right place.
Watch the brand new trailer for Fast & Furious 9 now:
Here’s the official synopsis:
Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena, the upcoming The Suicide Squad).
At over 3 minutes long this new trailer for Fast & Furious 9 is dialled all the way up and this is Fast and the Furious just how we like it. Cranked all the way up from beginning to end, Dom is forced into a dangerous fight with his lost half-brother Jakob (John Cena), a ruthless criminal and high-performance driver who has become ensnared into the plans of former archenemy Cipher (Charlie Theron), and things really block-up from there.
Returning director Justin Lin, who has shaped the franchise with entries including The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, has fully cranked the adrenaline here and it’s awesome to see our favourite characters including Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges), Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) thrown back into one hell of a vehicular battle. And this is gonna be a wild ride with everything from electromagnetic emitting cars that are used in an all-out crazy action set piece to a purpose-built ‘rocket car’ that is about to send our characters into the stratosphere.
Fast & Furious 9 will also see the return of Sung Kang as Han Lue, a longtime friend and associate of Dom’s who was thought to have been killed by Deckard Shaw during the events of The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, and who appears to be a now changed character with new motivations and a far darker streak to him, and which will likely make things very interesting for the film.
As a blockbuster set piece, Fast & Furious 9 is a movie we can fully get behind, and as a long time fan of this franchise, since the very first entry back in 2000, I’m very excited to see where this goes next and am ready to crank the NOS.
Fast & Furious 9 will arrive IN CINEMAS on June 17.
