The darkness can never be held back for long, and Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are now set to return once more as Ed and Lorraine Warren in an all-new chapter of The Conjuring Universe, with The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It…..and this nightmare could pull them into the very darkness itself.

Watch the freaky new trailer for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

The Devil Made Me Do It reveals a chilling story of terror, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defense.

Taking audiences back inside the chilling case files of demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Wilson, Farmiga), director Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona), creates another chilling chapter in The Conjuring Universe and this new case finds notions of the law, satan and the very souls of Ed and Lorraine in jeopardy.

Bringing to light the event known as the Trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson also known “Devil Made Me Do It” case, which for the first time in U.S. history the defence sought to prove innocence based upon the defendant’s claim of demonic possession and denial of personal responsibility for the crime. An utterly sensational and gripping court case, in which Ed and Lorraine Warren were directly consulted, this story makes for some pure chilling horror and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It will chill audiences to the bone.

This trailer raises up the horrors to a whole new level, and this time around in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Lorraine becomes the target of a sinister master satanist who is determined to drag her to hell, and the battle between light and dark is set to be waged.

Wilson and Farmiga again both put in stunning performances and those who have been waiting for their horror fix will be very excited to relive these brand new horrors here.
