Mobius M. Mobius introduces himself in ‘Loki’

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded in leaps and bounds thanks to the presence of WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+, and now we’re just weeks away from the arrival of the much anticipated Loki.

Taking audiences on a brand new journey with Marvel’s mischievous troublemaking god Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as he comes into conflict with the TVA and jumps into a brand new side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe…..which he is surely going to mix up for his own advantage.

In a fantastic new release Marvel Studios have offered audiences an all-new insight into the series and in a brand new clip introduce us to the character of Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), a mid-level bureaucratic manager working within the TVA who is charged to mind Loki and fix a new anomaly that is of his causing.

Watch the brand new clip below:

This new clip is a great tease of what is to come in the new Loki series and showcases the complicated relationship that will be shared between Loki and Mobius, along with the complexity and sheer oddity that exists within the Time Variance Authority and an all-new section of the MCU.

Here’s the official synopsis for Loki:

After stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame, an alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice: face being deleted from existence due to being a “time variant”, or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat. Loki ends up trapped in his own crime thriller, traveling through time and altering human history.

As many of you know Loki is my most anticipated Disney+ release this year! And its focus on expanding the cosmic setting of the MCU, which has always been my favourite part of the Marvel movies is something really excited to see. Add in the fact that this is not the redeemed Loki that we were introduced in Thor: Ragnarok, and instead of that this trickster is back to his usual antics and you’ve got a character and a story that I’m very interested to see.

Loki is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 9.
