Hollywood megastar Hugh Jackman is making his way back to the big screen for a fantastic science-fiction blockbuster in Reminiscence and this all-new mind trip is sure to keep you guessing at every turn.

Watch the stunning new trailer for Reminiscence below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Nick Bannister (Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, navigates the darkly alluring world of the past by helping his clients access lost memories. Living on the fringes of the sunken Miami coast, his life is forever changed when he takes on a new client, Mae (Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister fights to find the truth about Mae’s disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy, and must ultimately answer the question: how far would you go to hold on to the ones you love?

Written and directed by Lisa Joy (Westworld), Reminiscence offers up a bold new science fiction landscape that is equal parts beautiful and dangerous, and audiences who are looking to experience a sudden rush of adrenaline will be incredibly wowed by this one. Joy not only presents an array of stunning visuals and dynamic action sequences, but the mix of the science-fiction and noir genres look to have really made Reminiscence something truly unique.

Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman takes on the lead role of Nick Bannister, a former soldier, turned private investigator who has the ability to offer his clients a way to live out their memories and retreat back into their past lives. But when he stumbles upon the beautiful and intriguing Mae (Rebecca Fergusson), his life gets irreversibly shaken up and he’s soon thrown into a dangerous world of obsession and conspiracies.

With Reminiscence Jackman gets to step into the shoes of Humphrey Bogart with this dark noir-science fiction thriller and he looks utterly compelling in the role and Joy’s kinetic storytelling is benefitted by his presence and performance. There’s a real edginess to Jackman’s performance as Bannister and from the performance, we see in this first trailer it’s clear that his performance will be incredibly impressive.

Fans of the science-fiction genre and who are seeking a great puzzle-box of a movie will be incredibly impressed by what awaits in Reminiscence and I myself cannot wait to dive headfirst in the action of this mind-being motion picture.
