One of my most anticipated films of 2021 is without a doubt James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and now we have A BRAND NEW TRAILER for this super-villain blockbuster and there’s plenty of crazy to go around.

Watch the all-new trailer for The Suicide Squad below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Imprisoned convicts of Belle Reve penitentiary are sent as members of Task Force X to the South American island of Corto Maltese to destroy Jotunheim, a Nazi-era prison and laboratory which held political prisoners and conducted experiments.

Following on from the first trailer, this new trailer for The Suicide Squad gives audiences an introduction to James Gunn’s crazy new super-villain world and introduces us to new characters such as Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), Ratcatcher 2 (Daniela Melchior) and Peacemaker (John Cena), alongside the returning squad members of Colonel Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and the ever-loveable Harkey Quinn (Margot Robbie), and this trailer promises one hell of a fun action ride for long-time fans of this franchise!

James Gunnis going BIG this time with his introduction into the DCEU, and the results are a colossal blockbuster as Task Force X, better known as the ‘Suicide Squad’ is assigned to eliminate Project Starfish, which in addition to the spot-on comedic timing of John Cena’s Peacemaker, also takes audiences into one of the craziest, and mightiest threats, that the DCEU has ever faced.

This new trailer has it all. Explosive violence, unhinged profanity, spot-on comedic timing, and a host of all-new supervillains, some of them incredibly capable and dangerous, others, well, slightly more demented and deranged, and the result is a blockbuster movie event that audiences can be excited to get behind. Gunn has clearly had a blast making this film, and fans of his work on Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, alongside his early work with the likes of Slither and Super, will be very excited for what comes next with this one.

Suicide Squad

Brace yourself for peak crazy and all kinds of supervillain fun when The Suicide Squad arrives in cinemas on August 8.
