Director Matthew Vaughn is a rather busy man at the moment, not only is he awaiting the release of his all-new Kingsman movie, The King’s Man, this Christmas but he’s now signed on to bring a brand new spy franchise to life in Argylle. And this is one movie you’re going to want to get excited for.

As reported by Variety, Vaughn will adapt the new spy-genre film from the debut novel of the same name by first-time author Ellie Conway. And the director is already planning the film as a three-picture franchise.

Vaughn has also assembled one amazing all-star cast which will be led by Hollywood heavy-hitter Henry Cavill and will include Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson.

The film (and book) will follow the globe-trotting adventures of a super-spy named Argylle across the U.S., London and other exotic locations. Pop singer Dua Lipa will provide music for the title track and score as well as making her acting debut in the feature.

Of the project, Vaughn said, “When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the ’50s. This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”

On his casting in the film, Cavill took to his personal Instagram to share a new look poster for the movie, and for his many fans this news will be greatly celebrated. While he has long been a contender for the role of James Bond, and only narrowly lost out on the part to Daniel Craig for 2006’s Casino Royale, it seems that Cavill is looking to jump-start on his own spy-genre appearance and fans will be excited to see what he gets up to in this new feature.
