Who you gonna call! That’s right it’s time to get spooky, as the brand new trailer for Jason Reitman’s much-anticipated Ghostbusters: Afterlife has arrived and this new continuation of the classic comedy-horror blockbuster is about to bring all sorts of fun to the big screen, along with plenty of heart.

Here’s the official synopsis:

After being evicted from their home, a single mother and her two children, are forced to move to a decayed farmhouse in Summerville, Oklahoma, left to them by the children’s late grandfather, where a series of unexplained earthquakes are occurring despite not being situated on any fault and strange things are happening in an old mine once belonged to the alleged occultist Ivo Shandor.

The children discover their grandfather’s history with the original Ghostbusters, who have since been largely forgotten by the world beyond their fan base.

When supernatural phenomena relating to New York City’s “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984” arises and threatens the town, the kids, along with their family and friends, must use the Ghostbusters’ equipment to save it.

Right from the start this new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife completely has you wrapped up within it’s story and there’s a grand sense of nostalgia and joy within the images, music and narrative that this trailer presents for this film, and long time Ghostbusters fans will be very please with what they get to see in this new trailer.

Picking up the protein pack this time is a new generation of the Spengler family, with teenagers Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor Spengler (Finn Wolfhard) discovering the hidden history of their eccentric grandfather Dr. Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), as their mother Callie (Carrie Coon) adjusts to life in a new town. But soon after their discovery, strange things begin to happen around the town of Summerville, and soon their inquisitive teacher Mr Grooberson (Paul Rudd) is pulled into the action and reveals to them the secrets of the Ghostbusters

This new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife is marvellous to look at, and its sense of classic Americana nostalgia is sure to put a smile on its audiences face, along with the new appearance of a host of dangerous new ghoulish creatures and the return of some old classics such as the Mini Puffs and Slimer!
