
A new age dawns in ‘Vikings: Valhalla’
The sagas of Ragnar Lothbrok and Ragnarsons have now been told, but a new age of adventure is set to begin in Vikings: Valhalla and a host of new warriors set out to claim their seats at the table of Valhalla in the most epic way possible in this must-watch series.

Here’s the official synopsis:
Set years after Vikings, the end of the Viking Age draws near as England stands against them. After the death of King Edward the Confessor, three lords make claim to the English throne. Leif Erikson has led Greenlanders across the North Atlantic. He is loyal to his family, but has trouble with his father, Erik the Red. Freydís Eiríksdóttir is his half-sister. A sexual assault by Christian Vikings has made her anti-Christian and she becomes the leader of the Old Norse religion against rising Christianity in Scandinavia, and will look for a new home for her people. She is romantically drawn into a relationship with Torsen, a Christian Viking from a royal family. Torsen is part of a battalion that is being assembled by King Harald Hardrada to avenge the massacre. He is guided by Alienor, his queen and Earl Colby, an Anglo-Saxon counselor.
Vikings creator Michael Hurst is ready to return for a brand new saga in Vikings: Valhalla and this new series, which debuts exclusively on Netflix is set to introduce characters to a host of exciting new historical characters who are ready to claim their prizes of glory and conquest.
There’s Sam Corlett as Leif Eriksson, a bold adventurer who yearns to discover further than other Viking and discover new lands; Freydís Eiríksdóttir is his half-sister; who venomously hates the Christian faith and will go to extreme lengths to return the old gods to their power and finally Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson aka King Harald Hardrada, who is set to march on England.

The casting and scope of this new series is unbelievably epic and will lead to the incredible set pieces that we’ve come to expect from Vikings, and with a whole new cast of characters and historical settings, that will eventually lead into the Norman Invasion of England in 1066, Viking fans can expect something awesome on Netflix to look forward to.
Vikings: Valhalla is set to arrive on Netflix in 2022.
