Step behind the fairy tale in ‘Spencer’
Dubbed the People’s Princess, Diana, Princess of Wales was a woman who the world loved and adored. But now for the first time ever, audiences will be able to peer behind the fairy tale life that she lived and there’s much to dissect here in Pablo Larraín’s Spencer.

Here’s the official synopsis:
The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be a whole lot different. Spencer is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days.
Following on from the first teaser trailer, this new trailer for Spencer takes audiences deeper into the life that Diana lived, and in a series of dream-like vignettes, takes audiences into the emotions and feelings that are behind one of the most important decisions of her life, and one of modern Britain’s most defining events.
At the centre of Spencer is Kristen Stewart and the actress completely steps into the shoes of the Princess of Wales and completely nails the part. Both in appearance and movement, Stewart effortlessly slides into the role, but it’s very much her voice and unique vocalizations that had me entranced with her performance.
For those individuals who are fascinated by the life of Diana, I believe Spencer will offer up some incredible new insights into her life, and present them in a cinematic experience that is sure to command the audience’s attention.
Spencer will arrive in cinemas on January 27, 2022.
