It’s here! The day that long time fans of the cult classic Ghostbusters have been waiting for. We now have the arrival of a brand new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and this film is about to be a riot of fun!

Watch the all-new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

After being evicted from their home, a single mother and her two children are forced to move to a decayed farmhouse in Summerville, Oklahoma, left to them by the children of their late grandfather, where a series of unexplained earthquakes are occurring despite not being situated on any fault and strange things are happening in an old mine which once belonged to the alleged occultist Ivo Shandor.

The children discover the history of their grandfather with the original Ghostbusters, who have since been largely forgotten by the world beyond their fan base.

When supernatural phenomena relating to New York City’s “Manhattan Crossrip of 1984” arises and threatens the world, the kids, along with their family and friends, must solve decades-old mystery of the relocation of their grandfather and use the equipment of the Ghostbusters, and become their successors to save it.

From noted director Jason Reitman, who picks up the reigns from his father Ivan Reitman, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a family affair, and this story of family legacy and the supernatural is sure to enchant a whole new generation of audiences.

The action picks up quickly this time as we follow the grandchildren of Dr. Egon Spengler, Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), as they race against time to stop all hell from breaking loose on earth. Ghostbusters: Afterlife unfolds before us at breakneck speed and Reitman has a keen sense for showcasing a grand mix of adventure and comedy and the results are sure to please audiences.

Adding to the fun and comedy of Ghostbusters: Afterlife are Carrie Coon as Callie, Phoebe and Trevor’s single mother and Egon’s daughter and Paul Rudd as Mr. Grooberson, Phoebe’s teacher; who are both caught up in the action, and it’s a lot of fun to get to see them play in these roles.

Packed full of dynamic action, some hilarious laughs, and memorable nostalgia, alongside the appearance of new monsters and the importance of family, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is shaping up to be one of 2021’s biggest holiday cinema spectacles and you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on this one.
